Egg stain are quite common and can happen at any time, especially if you are fan of egg breakfast. Usually they are not that tough to clean from your clothes but sometimes the yellowish stain can reappear after laundering. In this article we’ll share some advice on how to get rid of egg stains permanently.
Many experts that offer domestic cleaning services advise that you deal with the stain right away and not let it set into your clothing.
First remove the excess goo with a dull knife or the back of a spoon. Do not rub too vigorously though, so you don’t tear the fabrics. Afterwards dab the stain with a terry cloth or another highly absorbent cloth. Next, take a sponge and soak it in cool water. Gently dab the stained surface from both sides. If the stain is starting to feel crusty pour some liquid washing detergent on it. The final result should be e loosened stain that will be at least a little dissolved before washing. After that put the clothing into wash basin filled with cool water and leave to soak for half an hour. When the time is up put your hands into the wash basin and check if the stain still feels crusty (old egg stains are quite difficult to remove). Just to be sure, rub it some with your hands so it can loosen better from the fabric. Put the clothing in the washing machine and spin it in high temperature.
Now, the tricky part is to check if the stain still remains after washing. If it still is there do not let it dry and redo the cleaning process again. It should come of on the second try but if doesn’t do not be afraid to repeat the process until it does.
Removing stains is not a tough job but if you feel that it’s too much for you call at a cleaning company in London.
